Apple Vision Pro to sell in China, Japan and Singapore by end of this month in first debut outside the U.S.

Apple is set to launch its flagship VR headset, the Apple Vision Pro, in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore on June 28.

This marks the first international availability of the Vision Pro, with pre-orders starting on Friday.

Initially launched in the US at $3,499, the Vision Pro will sell in China for 29,999 yuan ($4,190), its highest price point.

Apple faces challenges in China with tight content regulations. Popular US apps like Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video are unavailable.

Apple is partnering with Chinese developers like Tencent and ByteDance to launch new apps and games, including Tencent Video and a VR version of Douyin.

Despite regulatory challenges, there's strong demand for the Vision Pro in China, with gray market prices reaching up to double the official cost.

Apple also announced pre-orders for Germany, France, Australia, the UK, and Canada starting June 28, with availability on July 12, alongside the new VisionOS 2 update featuring enhanced AI integrations.
